On November 8, 2016, Donald Trump successfully won the election for the highest job in the land with absolutely no political experience. Whether you were telling everyone you know that #ImWithHer or biding to, “Make America Great Again,” one thing about the 2016 election is undeniable: the dark horse is still alive and well!

This election cycle has given way to a new found confidence in all job-seekers. We as Americans have just elected the most politically inexperienced president in our history. Make the connection for the potential employer. Be able to explain or elaborate on volunteer opportunities, travel, academics, or entrepreneurship that pertains to the job you are seeking.
	Tip 3: Confidence is Key! Often times the best way to overcome the experience gap is to ignore it all together! When all is said and done, you must believe you are qualified or no one else will. As Henry David Thoreau once said, “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you imagined.”
