Medical Services Division to become JCAHO Certified
(August 13, 2004) - MAU, Inc's (Management, Analysis & Utilization) Medical Recruiter, Natalie Brody, is taking a huge step in helping provide the most effective service possible to health care industry providers. This step involves leading the staffing and human resource company's Medical Services Division through the process of becoming certified and accredited by The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Achieving certification by JCAHO is an investment that MAU, Inc. is taking to continue to strengthen the Medical Services Division and assist in their ability to provide the most effective staffing to health care providers.
Largely known as a non-profit organization, JCAHO accredits healthcare organizations and provides standardization and regulation to all processes and policies in such areas as business practices, human resource management, information management and performance measurements.
The new certification by JCAHO is in response to the healthcare industrys growing concerns about the healthcare staffing agencies and the safety of their employees. Hospitals and health care organizations are increasingly relying on staffing agencies to fill their medical personnel shortages, and therefore, concerns about patient safety and health care quality have been continually elevated.
"Many healthcare staffing organizations have not been utilizing safe staffing practices, which ultimately puts both the patients and the health care providers at risk," stated Brody. "We realize that it is an absolute necessity to eliminate these safety fears and concerns, and believe that JCAHO can help in that process. We are excited about moving forward with the certification."
MAU, Inc. (Management, Analysis & Utilization) is a certified, minority-owned full-service human resources and staffing company with offices located throughout Georgia, South Carolina and Illinois.
