A Thanksgiving Meal with our MAU Family
December 4, 2018 2:00:00 PM

Friday, November 16th, 2018, MAU Family Members gathered together to give back, give thanks, and share a meal.

Before gathering together, members of the MAU family collected canned goods and non-perishable food items that were donated to the local Golden Harvest Food Bank. Started in 1982, Golden Harvest Food Bank provides quality food and other grocery products to those in need  through local community support by way of direct service programs, food pantries, and community education about hunger.

Along with current employees, MAU invited retired MAU family members that had made a lasting impression on the company and those influential to MAU’s beginning and growth.

The MAU family congregated at the Marion Hatcher Center Friday afternoon and declared what they were thankful for that year. Some shared that they were thankful for their family, their work, and the Lord. One family member who had recently returned from the hospital expressed his sincere gratitude for his health and his thankfulness that he was still with us that day.

President Randy Hatcher led the group in a prayer to bless the food, the gathered company and all those that could not be with them that day. As everyone took turns piling their plates with a traditional southern Thanksgiving feast provided, co-workers caught up with one another that may not be able to see one another on a daily basis. Stories were shared, laughter filled the room and smiles were all around as family and friends delighted in one another’s company.

MAU remains thankful for the many blessings that were received this year, including the continued blessing of being able to care for its community and employees.
