On Thursday, May 16, MAU Workforce Solutions hosted more than 250 individuals including elected officials, clients, employees, associates, as well as friends and family in celebration of 40 years in business!
The event began with a ceremonial ribbon cutting in front of the recently renovated offices located in downtown Augusta at 501 Greene Street with the Augusta Metro, Columbia County and North Augusta Chambers of Commerce. Afterwards, a celebration took place at the historic Marion Hatcher Center, located next door.
The celebration included an opening prayer by Dr. G. Daniel McCall. This was followed by a special proclamation from Deke Copenhaver- Mayor of Augusta, GA. He proclaimed May 16, 2013 MAU day in Augusta in honor of the event. Then, Ben Harbin- US House of Representatives, District 122, presented a state flag that was flown over the capital in honor of the 40th anniversary of the founding of MAU. In addition, we are honored to have received a declaration by Governor Nathan Deal celebrating our success. CEO and company founder, William G. Hatcher, Sr. and President Randy Hatcher both addressed the attendees as well. Following the speakers, Randy Hatcher was presented with a very special trophy created by a group a long-term MAU Associates on site at Kimberly Clark.
